Satchari National Park is an area of 243.10 hectors
in Bangladesh. She is situated under Raghunandan forest range in Chunarughat
Upazila of Habigonj district.She is 130 kilometers north -east from Dhaka, the
capital of Bangladesh and 60 kilometers south-west from Sreemongal, a renowned
city and railway station in Moulvibazar district. One can easily visit this
park by road from anywhere in Bangladesh. If one wants to come by road ,he or
she will reach Jagadishpur Temunia. From there he or she will get on local
buses leaving from Madhabpur for Habigonj via Chunarughat.The buses stop at
Satchari. If someone wants to come there by train, he or she will get down at
Shaistagonj Railway Station and will come to Satchari by CNG or bus from
rail-gate.
Satchari National Park is a fearless place of
mammals , birds, reptiles and amphibians.14 spices of mammals,22 spices of
birds, 8 spices of amphibians are available here.
If time allows one can visit the adjacent areas of
Satchari National Park. Surma Tea Garden, Satchari Tea Garden and Chakla Punji
Tea Garden are also very fascinating places surrounding Satchari.
